Principal's Corner - Mr. Aaron B. Kilpatrick

Picture
I am excited to begin my 5th year as your principal at Parkside Primary School!  The 2022-2023 school year will be my 7th year as a principal, and 13th year in the Bethalto School District.  Prior to becoming a principal, I served as a Dean of Students, and as a Special Education Teacher.

I am a 1995 graduate of Sneads High School, which is located in my hometown of Sneads, FL.  I served in the United States Navy for six years before earning a Bachelors degree from SIUE in 2008.  I began my career in Bethalto as a teacher at Simpson Achievement Center, and as a member of the CMHS Football coaching staff.  After three years at the Simpson Center, I taught for one year at CMHS.  During this time, I earned a Masters degree from McKendree University.  In 2013, I was named Dean of Students of CM West (formerly SAC).  The following year, I moved into the role of Dean of Students at CMHS and Trimpe Middle School.  I served in this role for two years before being named principal at CMHS, where I served for two years.

I am blessed to have been given the opportunity to earn a living while making a positive impact on the lives of young people.  I work with a wonderful faculty and staff who are dedicated to assisting students in achieving academic and personal success.  If I can be of any assistance to you, please contact me at 377-4100 or akilpatrick@bethalto.org
