Room Mother Information
Christmas parties will be December 20th, at 1:05pm, and Valentine’s parties will be February 14th at 1:05. If you are a room mother you should have already received your list with other room mothers’ names. If you haven’t, please contact your child’s teacher.
There will be many opportunities for parents to volunteer in some
fashion during the school year. Please consider signing up for some of the following programs.
*Teachers are striving to use computers more with their classes this
year. We will be needing parent volunteers who are willing to assist in the computer labs on a regular basis. Volunteers will receive training and information on how to work with students and how to use the computers.
*We are always in need of volunteers to help keep our libraries
orderly and efficient. You may consider donating your time in maintaining our library. Training on the library cataloging system will be provided.
*Classrooms are enriched when community volunteers assist in the
classroom. Volunteers may listen to students read, assist with writing activities,help with art projects, assist with learning centers, assist with special music classes, chaperone students on field trips, and a variety of other activities. The classroom teacher is responsible for the selection, scheduling and supervision of classroom volunteers. Please let your child know if you are interested in volunteering.
*PTO is a parent/teacher organization, which works together for the
betterment of all students and school programs. Your support and participation in this program is highly encouraged!
